Yeah, 2008 is here, time to mark this off as done. I read more than 12 books during 2007, many quite good.

I finished a couple more books in 2007, but most of them are partially read. Oh well, 2008 is here and I’ll try again.
I ended up reading around 14 books last year. Due to my success I joined a book club at the end of the summer, with the intention to read 24 books in 08!
Becky doing good so far....
I joined paperbackswap.com and got a ton of books for free or very cheap. I spent almost all of my summer reading old favorites as well as new books.

Several days ago, I realized I needed to finish Shadowplay to reach this goal. It took me until today, but I did it.
12 books completed.
(even if I didn’t technically “do” it)
—A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
—The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman
—Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling
—Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling
—Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling
—A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
—Freakonomics by Steven Levitt
I picked this goal before I had a baby, so I don’t think it will happen this year, unless I can read 6 books in one month with an infant – ha ha!

Wow I can’t believe it has been so long. Book #11 is done. Harry Turtledove’s American Empire: The Center Cannot Hold.
I have already started #12 – Tad William’s Shadowplay
Book #5 is done. I’m just reading too many pregnancy books right now! Plus a textbook for a class (so I’m going to count that too when I’m done). I don’t think I will make it all the way to 12 this year…
I’ve finished The Two Towers and Return of the King now. I love these books. I’ll read them again and again.
But not this year. It’s time for me to stop reading! I get so caught up in the other world, and i make reading a priority in my life, and now that I’ve read 19 books, it’s time for me to get on with other projects.
I’ll probably read more books this year, but I’d like to read some non-fiction, or some more old classics. But for a while I’m going to concentrate on playing the flute, and exercise.
