Okay, well Proactiv wasn’t as fast as I was hoping it to be but it was pretty good because in 2 months my face is as smooth as a baby’s butt, haha. Sadly, I still have the disgusting scars from when I was naive and would pop it! Never, NEVER do that! No matter how tempting ): I still don’t feel accomplished so I won’t mark this as completed until my acne scars fade away! Also, drink LOTS of water because during a period where I drank 5 bottles of water a day for a week, my skin became SO much more clearer.

I finally found something that worked! I don’t have insurance, so paying a dermatologist to write a prescription and then paying full price for retin-a cream was not an option. Instead, I ordered 4 tubes from Canada for under $100!
I think they are expired product, since there is a date stamped on the bottom from a few months ago. I don’t know if that’s the exp. date or the date it was made. I don’t care either way. My skin is much better!!!

I went to my family doctor a few months ago and found out that I have cystic acne. So now I’m using some prescriptions my doctor gave me (Differin, Clindamycin) and salicylic acid wash with sunscreen. So far I have noticed a huge difference in my complexion, but my hyperpigmentation remains. Still working on that, but I am hopeful it will go away.

The entire summer I’ve been washing my face daily, using Clearasil, putting on moisture lotion, trying masks, and applying zit cream. I reaaaally wanna get rid of them before school starts! I have 2 weeks!
In a desperate attempt, I’m resorting back to Proactive which I’ve used before. Since I only have 2 weeks, I’m using Proactive because the last time I’ve used it, they cleared up my acne real fast.
Oh please God, make it work.

I’ve tried EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING to clear up my skin. I am 30 years old. Lately, this is bugging the hell out of me. I am angry about it. I eat very well (vegan, little junk), avoid stress, take supplements, you name it. Here is the short list of everything I tried to clear up my face.
aloe vera right from the plant (I like the way my skin feels afterward)
The Pill
thick layers of benzoyl peroxide on my face every night
extra virgin coconut oil
Proactiv
Murad
Tri-clear
Urine (yes, I applied my own urine to my face! It seems to help actually!)
Apple cider vinegar
antibiotics
Duac gel
Acne Free skin care system
Neutrogena acne treatment line
retin-A
Pregnancy has 100% cured my acne. Unfortunately it only lasts 9 months and I don’t have the means to be continually pregnant my entire life. I am certain this is tied to my menstrual cycle. I nursed my son exclusively and didn’t get my period until 10 months after he was born. The 19 months of having clear skin is a distant memory. Getting my period makes my skin look a thousand times worse, and it takes 2-3 weeks for the massive breakouts to heal. By they time they go away, I get my period again. My entire face is covered in acne at different stages of the healing process.
The only thing that really helps a LOT is retin a cream. Problem is I have no insurance and I would pay loads of money out of pocket. Good news is I found a retailer in Canada that ships it to you. I PRAY TO GOD they are credible. I am half expecting to open a box of fake product since 3 tubes were only 50 bucks!

I’ve been doing the naturopathic stuff for about 2 months, small signs of improvement but nothing dramatic. I think I’ve been feeling a bit better though so that’s a plus.
On top of that, though, I’ve decided to start using Murad. I’ve been reading about it and many people prefer it over proactive. In fact, most people stated that proactive was worthless and Murad was faster and more effective. So I’m definitely excited to see what will happen over the next month.

well basically antibiotics and benzoyl peroxide have not helped me all that much, so now i’m gonna try and do things the natural way.
ive stopped drinking milk, eating dairy products, eating sugar and eating meat.
basically all i eat now is pasta, rice, fruits and vegetables. i also drink unsweetened tea and water.
let’s see how this goes.

I went to a naturopathic doctor/nutritionist last week and got some vitamins and different things to help clean out my system and level out my health. Which, that will hopefully result in clearing up my acne. During the first week there hasn’t been a huge improvement, we’ll see though. I go back for a check up in 3 weeks.
