I recorded 4 songs this weekend and am marking this goal as done. When I created the goal I didn’t think of what “album” meant exactly and was really aimed at recording in the comfort of my basement. Which also meant recording for cheap. My friend Michael set up his protools rig in my basement with the help of two interns from Art Institute of Seattle on Thursday. We mic’d up the drum kit and guitar. Transporting, setting up, mic’ing and troubleshooting took about 8 hours. Then on Friday we recorded from noon to 9pm. We packed up the gear and loaded most of it out. Voila!
The recording was pretty awesome and I should have my first listen in the next week. Exciting goal!
