a few of my friends and i had a radio show called “mischief night.” it was pretty fantastic.
while i never did the college radio dj thing beyond my freshman year, a lot of my college friends had shows (and my senior-year roomie/twin/future MOH) was the general manager for the station, so i spent a LOT of time in that station and hijacking their shows. it was definitely loads of fun, especially when we did the 12-hour all-night broadcasts.

ive always wanted to do something with music but not sing. I thought maybe producing would be good, or not until i wanted to become a radio dj. Does anybody know how to start off doing something like this.

I spent 5 years as a successful DJ at a skating center, my largest live crowd was 900+ During that time, I actually helped co-promote a Wanna Be a DJ contest with one of the local radio station, but I never pursued being on the radio myself. Years later I would meet a new friend a different job, who was a college student, and had his own Saturday night radio show on the college station. I caught the show one night, and ever since then I have wanted to DJ on the radio.
I’m considering going to school for Radio/Television production.

I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for job advertisments in Lubbock for DJs.
No such luck, but I still have hope. I’ve been perfecting my rambling into circular discussions, instead, though I’ve always been fortunate in the fact that I can carry a conversation with myself.

it is definitely one of the coolest jobs in the world. not one of the highest paying though. so, you might want to do it for a while but don’t make it a career. there are so many other things you could do with your life. :)
