get braces

I know this is stupid but I’m too scared to do it! I want to! I have a couple of teeth that need straightened.

This is something my dentist tells me I “have to do”. I sort of want to do it too though, because my teeth do seem to bother me more every passing year. The bottom are the most uneven, and I have a really bad over bite. On the plus side, I don’t have any wisdom teeth!

I’ve done this before, but when I asked the ortho in the last couple of months when I’d go back to naked teeth, and he was like “LOOOL NEXT MONTH” for 3-4 months. He never said anything like ”....you really need to wait” like I wish he did. The whole experience didn’t go the way it should have.
My overbite never got corrected, and I’m always having nightmares about my teeth moving back to right before I got braces.

I’ll have had mine on for a year on June 11th. It’s been both annoying and brilliant simultaneously: I love being able to see the amazing resuts, but get irritated when I can’t eat certain things. Hopefully I’ll have them off in maybe 4 months? My top teeth are practically done, they’re just closing the gaps on my bottom row where I had 2 removed. I think I’ll throw a party when they’re off!

I had my first adjustment for my top teeth on April 8, and I got my bottom wire in that day too. My top teeth have already straightened out quite a bit for such a short amount of time, and I’m looking at my bottom teeth waiting for those to get moving too. It’s really amazing how quickly teeth can start shifting!

i spoke with Glad this morning to discuss the date I wanted to have this. she told me that it’ll take a month or so because she has to order her stuff from Manila. so gotta wait.

then i told her to find me a surgical dent to remove my wisdom tooth, ehww!

i have a slight gap…not so visible..but i want to close it…so…i will once i have the money….wish me luck

I have 3 more months to go. It has had its ups and downs it has hurt and not hurt they have screwed up my bite and had to re-correct it but all in all it has been a good experience.

I got my braces on yesterday after one week of spacers. The spacers didn’t hurt me at all which was a nice surprise because I had heard many stories saying that they hurt a lot. Guess I lucked out there.

The actual process of getting the braces on wasn’t bad at all. I got ceramic on the top and metal on the bottom but I only have the top wire in because I still need to get one extraction on the bottom. My top wire is coated so it blends with the ceramic brackets better. A few days after I get the extraction (which I have to make the appointment for), I’m going back to the orthodontist to have the bottom wire placed. Now that I’m in braces, I have to admit I’m feeling unattractive but it has only been one day, and hopefully I will get used to them soon.
