I’ve had my braces for 11 months now. My teeth are much better than they used to be but I still have quite a ways to go. I’ve always had bad teeth my whole life, and I am looking forward to my beautiful new smile!

How I did it: I put off braces for years because of the money, then at the age of 36, I realized that I had paid off two cars in my short life and was about to payoff a third one. I could have paid off braces years ago if I had financed them. I don't like debt, but I made an exception for my braces and I'm set to finish in December and I only wish I had done it sooner. I got invisiligns because I have a crown on my front tooth and you can't put the oth… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was saving for them by myself at first but, my mom needed all the money I saved for them, after the money was gone I didn't think I ever had a chance at ever having braces. Then a year later my mom finally realized I was worth the investment after 9 years of embarrassment........ Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to the ortho, booked some appointments, got my molds done, wore spacers (which hurt more than the braces), got my braces on May 20/2009, and voila! My teeth are already looking straighter and in about 2 years, they'll be perfect! Hello beautiful smile! P.S - since I'm a bit older, I opted for clear brackets. Read how I did it…
How I did it: went to my local orthodontist, they're the best person to talk to about this sort of stuffthey took a photo of my teeth and showed it on a projector, it was horrifying, that was enough to convince me to get braces.they put a palatal expander on my top teeth because i had a narrow jaw (it was like a plate on the roof of my mouth attached to my teeth.. gave me a lisp), i had to tighten it myself every 2 days (it does something like put hair… Read how I did it…
How I did it: But even before I had the braces I had a spacer (A metal bar at the roof of your mouth that you have to adjust daily to stretch it) And a bumper (in front of my lower teeth)It was a pain! Trying to get the food out that was stuck between them. And the canker soars, after the metal got caught in your mouth!I remember visiting family in Europe, they asked if I needed them or was wearing them for fashion. Apparently, people got them 'cuz the… Read how I did it…

I’ve always had slighty crooked front teeth, and I’ve wanted braces ever since I was little. I’m 18 now, and I’m hoping to get braces fairly soon because I’ve heard that it hurts worse the older you get.
But my entire family and my boyfriend think my teeth are fine and it’s a waste of money. I don’t think they’re fine, but everyone else seems to. I have a slight overbite and my two front teeth are definitely not in line. So, I hope to get braces soon, if only for selfish [or vain] reasons.

Well, this goal is #28 on my list because it was something I didn’t think I’d be able to afford until I was out of college and already started with my career, however, my mother entered a drawing for free braces, and WON! The only requirement is that I let them use me however they see fit for marketing purposes. You know, commercials, photos, sound drops for radio promotions, etc…
Everything is included! I’m so excited!
usually ppl get braces when theyre like 8 or 9 , im 20 and my teeths are just awful i really need braces but its very expensiveeeeeeee
im getting braces.
and they want to take out all four canine teeth
but i hear it makes your face rlly saggy.
and i think it would look weird.
like everybody has their canine teeth!
if anybody has any pictures of them without their canine teeth plz help
I’ve done this before, but when I asked the ortho in the last couple of months when I’d go back to naked teeth, and he was like “LOOOL NEXT MONTH” for 3-4 months. He never said anything like ”....you really need to wait” like I wish he did. The whole experience didn’t go the way it should have.
My overbite never got corrected, and I’m always having nightmares about my teeth moving back to right before I got braces.

Here’s a before picture, so you can see how they’ve come along =D

I’ll have had mine on for a year on June 11th. It’s been both annoying and brilliant simultaneously: I love being able to see the amazing resuts, but get irritated when I can’t eat certain things. Hopefully I’ll have them off in maybe 4 months? My top teeth are practically done, they’re just closing the gaps on my bottom row where I had 2 removed. I think I’ll throw a party when they’re off!
I had my first adjustment for my top teeth on April 8, and I got my bottom wire in that day too. My top teeth have already straightened out quite a bit for such a short amount of time, and I’m looking at my bottom teeth waiting for those to get moving too. It’s really amazing how quickly teeth can start shifting!
If you’re thinking about getting braces, you should go for it. If you have any questions, you can send me a message, I don’t mind.
