My hir is naturally dark brown and is currently black, but i really want to dye my hair white. It would be white already if it weren’t for the up-keep. Is it worth it?

How I did it: I just went to the hairdresser. I had some doubts for a while but then I was like, whatever, I'm just making an appointment. So I calledn and then there was no turning back. And the result is só awesome. Make sure you use silver shampoo afterwards to substitude a strange yellow shade. Read how I did it…
GodComplex_ spent an entire afternoon making DE dreads.
How I did it: My hair was long and half dyed black, half dark brown roots. So the next logical thing to do for me was cutting it shoulder lenght and bleaching it white!I started off bleaching with Stargazer's Lightning Kit, my hair turned to a horrid coppery orange and was damaged severely. What to do? Deep condition (go to a specialist or even the local afroshop -> some great and cheap conditioners over there!) every day for a week, then start over ag… Read how I did it…
How I did it: bleached it...washed my hair wit purple shampoo!i waited about 6 hos washd it again with the shampoo and it practically worked insantly!!!:):):):) Read how I did it…
How I did it: Bleached hair with Kaleidocolors bleach bought at Sally's. Used a toner. Didn't work. Bleached again. Used another toner. It turned it white. Continued use of the shampoo Shimmering Lights to keep the silvery/white look. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I used manic panic flash lightning kit volume 30 , depending on how dark your hair is originally, you might have to bleach twice, follow the developing times exactly as written and you shouldnt have a problem such as burning your scalp or hair, shampoo and rinse all of the bleach out rinse two or more times as needed,do not leave any bleach on your hair,do not condition, towel dry. Buy a quality toner do not use white… Read how I did it…

3 bleachings now and I’m still just blond. A few scraps of white and my hair has gone progressively lighter each time. I’m giving this one more go, and if I don’t get white I have to give up. My hair has held up admirably up until the last bleaching after 4 days of treatments it’s finally feeling normal again instead of like steel wool. Honestly I don’t think it can take much more. I would really like the white hair but I can’t stand being a blond much longer. One more go later this week, Wish me luck!
I’ve wanted to do this since I was 12, but never have due to parents, job restrictions etc. Now is the time. Sunday I bleached my black hair for 1 hour, it’s now a garish strawberry blond. Horrible but pretty amusing too. The last three days I have been alternating treatments to keep my hair from drying out in the next bleaching. Mayo, honey, vitamin e, and glycerin.
I’m really impressed with how well my hair is looking/feeling. Hopefully the next bleaching won’t ruin it. Tomorrow I’ll by using hot topic’s white out kit. Then I will be shopping for shampoo/conditioner and toner for white to silver hair.
I never realized my hair grows so fast, in only two days I can see roots. In the long run white hair will be too much trouble to keep up but for a couple of weeks it’s going to be great.
Started out with virgin strawberry blonde hair. (I’ve gotten it cut to shoulder length though since this picture was taken.) Bleached it & got orange hair. Used the extra light toner from Sallys, & got yellow. I accidentally used volume 10 developer, when the toner called for 20. Went back to the store got volume 20 developer and another extra light toner. Got home, made another mistake, instead of having the same amount of toner and developer, I poured all of both bottles into the mixing bowl, nearly tripiling the amount of developer vs. the amount of toner. It’s been a bit more than half a day since this all happened, and my hair is still a hideous yellow blonde. Going to the salon tomorrow to fix this fiasco, but I’m sooo afraid that if I bleach my hair again it will fall out! I did a deep conditioning treatment and it feels really healthy, almost can’t tell that it was bleached, but still… Idk what I’ll do.
Okay, so I want to dye my hair white.
But I’ve already dyed it twice and my mom talks to all these salon ladies and they tell me “DO NOT BLEACH IT ANYMORE!”
Well, if I can’t bleach it anymore, then how do I get it white?
I’m originally a strawberry blonde, but I’ve had black hair for 5 years up until this last month when I bleached it.
So, is it really worse for my hair since I’ve been dying it different colors for so many years?
I tried using the “Color Oops” stuff to get rid of the brassy orange color, but that didn’t really do anything.
So, would anyone know if my hair would really fall out if I dyed it again, or would it just be really damaged?
Basically, I just need ideas on how to get to white without LOSING MY HAIR!!! :(
i have naturally very very very blonde hair, but have been dying it black for about 2 years. I have recently seen the light.
i want to go back to white!
i bleached my hair twice within two days to get it to that disgusting yellow shade, then i kept my purple shampoo from Schwartzkopf on for about 15 minutes. my hair was blinding white!!! it nearly blinded me i swear to god. the condition of my hair isn’t too clever but its not terrible. a few hair keratin hair masks will sort it out ;) do ittt!
sandymonica is figuring out when to lighten her hair
Born a brunette, I kept my hair dark for most of my adult life until I moved to Santa Monica in 2003. I wanted to go light…all the way to blond…why not? I was a California Girl now. I had my hair lightened in a salon in Beverly Hills the first time and then found someone I liked near me in Santa Monica. I loved being blond for about five years. Silver hair was coming in as well as my dark and I decided to let it grow in and stop lightening. It’s been about six months now and I don’t like how I look in any photos that have been taken with my salt and pepper hair so I am going to go back to blond…sort of a platinum so It looks like that could really be my hair color. I got a kit from Clairol Born Blond Maxi. It sounds do-able so we will see in the next day or two.
all i did was bleach it once. and then i washed my hair with purple shampoo! it practially worked instantly!!
Oh, dam fuck!!
It didn’t came out the way I wanted.
Anyways, is more blond than before.
WHATEVER.
