    Being more healthy thru and thru 2 years ago

    I say ‘thru and thru’ because I want to improve my physical state, as well as my emotional, spiritual, and mentally.

    Physical is easy to nail down. Lose weight by eating foods that are healthier for me.

    Emotional relates to my later goal of getting to know my new step family. I went thru an emotional mess for 2 months when my parents divorce was finalized, and I found out a couple weeks later that they had both met someone and were rushing into 2nd marriages. My dad did already. So now that I’ve come to terms with that, and am done crying over it, I want to improve on my outlook of it. I had hid my emotions for almost a year trying to tell myself that since I was an adult my parent’s divorce shouldn’t effect me much. Then it all came out at once and I cried a lot for 2 months straight. I couldn’t handle anything about my family too well during that time. BUT, the Lord is good and brought me thru that. I just don’t want to put off emotions any longer. Kind of links me back to goal #1. Can’t keep hanging out with this guy as friends without finally saying something!

    Mentally means I don’t want to be like my mother. I swear to make better decisions than she has in marriage and life. I also see some habits of hers that are rubbing off on me. I know people always say they don’t want to be like their parents, but I mean it. She nagged a lot and didn’t encourage my dad. I already am working on blocking certain behaviors that I see in her. I’m doing pretty good at it!
    Plus, depression seems to be spreading thru my family like crazy, so I’m HAPPY to say, I don’t have it! And part of that comes with dealing with stuff as it comes at you. I think I can honestly say that out of the members of my family…I am the one that has things the most together. Never thought that’d be the case!

    So that’s my list of how to become healthy thru and thru according to Summer.
