I just made my reservation. The countdown begins. Flying solo and then joining others who are seeking personal healing also.
atinygoat would rather be at the beach.
How I did it: I think I have it easy because I am lucky enough to have an aunt, uncle and three cousins who live right on Lake Washington. I cannot count the number of times I have been there, and I try to go at least once a year. As soon as I can save for another plane ticket, I am on my way out there again. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My two best friends took me for my 22nd birthday. It was wonderful. We went to the Space Needle, Original Starbucks, Pike's Place and some other places as well as just wandered around. We found a great pizza place for lunch and this cool second hand video store that we spent hours in. We did alot of walking too which was a great way to see the city! Read how I did it…

Okay, so I really want to live in Seattle, but I have never even been there, but there is something drawing towards this city. So what I would really like to do first is to visit Seattle, at least for a week, and see if this city is everything I am making it up to be. I think it will be. I am currently looking at plane tickets online, and comparing prices. My goal is to make it there by August. I heard that that’s the best time to visit Seattle, because of the weather.
Josh ...and life just rolls on like a river.
My wife and I visited Seattle for four and a half days for our fifth anniversary (March 20th). We had a lot of fun. We stayed in the Lower Queen Anne area (near Seattle Center, which we visited). We did the normal tourist stuff (the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and the Olympic Sculpture Park). We also got a lot of good eats. We rode the monorail back and forth between Seattle Center the Westlake Center once. The coolest thing was just walking around and hitting up coffee shops and used book stores and other neat little shops. There were several things we wanted to do while in the city that we didn’t get to do (the Underground Tour, the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Asian Art Museum), so another trip to Seattle is a must. I really enjoyed myself there.

...I’ve already been to Seattle… but I only drove through then. I’m leaving at 7:00 am (eastern time) on Wednesday the 18th (44 hours to go, but who is counting?). My wife and I are making a trip for our 5th anniversary (the 20th). We’ll be there for 5 days and then leaving on an Amtrak train to make our way back home. So many things I want to see and do in Seattle (I’ve put a bunch of them on my 43Places page). Anyways, I’ll make sure to take plenty of photos and to write about it when I get back. Should be a great trip. I love the Pacific Northwest.
I’m lucky enough to have a friend there so all I have to do is buy the plane ticket and come to see her. She’s from Seattle and knows the city so well I’m sure she’s going to be the perfect tour guide!
I’ll be there at the end of March! So soon!

I have not booked my ticket yet, but I have signed up for the Seattle Marathon. I have several friends who live in Seattle, so I have places to stay. I am very excited about this, and I consider it to be my graduation present to myself!

My husband and I eventually plan to live in Seattle, but I’d like to visit there first.
