I’ve gone back to school to become an accoutant after giving up my dream of being a rock star. I’m going through for a CGA status. I’m finding full-time school hard with 3 small children though. Is there anyone out there who made it through something like this?
I’ve abandoned the dream of pharmacy. The new dream: Accountant. But what about teaching; it’s so different, much less black and white. I love accounting, it’s my favorite class, the one I look forward to, the one that’s the most fun. But am I just subconciously in it for the money or for the PASSION?

I am not certain what I want to do with my career. I have started with learing about income taxes, and that may be enough for now.
I am graduating in 6 weeks with a degree in Accounting from Purdue University and I have a job as an accountant!! Yay! Perfect job for me!
After spending a week tempting in an accounts office, it was obvious that it was something that I want to pursue for the rest of my life. The numbers are completely meaningless and I don’t think I will get much job satisfaction out of it.
Kind of started on the ACCA accounting course. I am not too sure about this career path anymore. I have just spent 2 weeks going temporary admin work and I must say that there is no job satisfaction in this field whatsoever. I think I am going to complete this section of ACCA and then see how it goes.
The course on ACCA is going to start near the end of Sept so I thought it would be a good idea if I make a start at it now. Been out to the library, took out some books and going to spend some time to familarise myself with the whole thing. Another good news is that a friend’s father is an ACCA and she is willing to enquire about the possibility of me having a work placement at her father’s place! Guess I know what I will be doing next summer if it all works out!!! :D
Have just applied and became a student of the ACCA. Had a look through different courses on offer by various insitution and have pretty much decided which course to take. All I need to do now is post the cheque and application form.
