The moment i come back from holiday i want to have my regular football trainings and work on my muscles every night!
How to exercise regulary
How I did it: I started off by doing a walk/run every morning. I then stopped walking and ran what I usually walked. Now I get up run instead of walk and each weak I add another mile. The in the afternoon do some upper body workouts as well.
Lessons & tips: Run a little everyday and add more mileage each week until your body is at a comfortable point.

Maya is trying to do something nice!
Whenever I think about doing some exercise I think about that in a bad way. I always see only sweating and tiredness and forget about that I am going to feel great after that. My mind will feel great and my body will feel great as well. I should start with doing exercises for 15 minutes every morning, before taking a shower. I hope that I am not going to give up as it is just a little of effort. I hope that this is going to be a good start and also I hope that I am finally going to change my way of thinking.
4 months down the road, my simple, twice a week, anaerobic exercise has made a huge difference. my physique has really toned up and it is noticeable as i get constant comments. i am lucky! unfortunately, not much has been done to help with my stamina… i’d say that’s got to do with the smoking really…
so, i have managed it! today, i go for my 9th jiu jitsu class. i have been at it twice a week for 4 weeks now. i am well chuffed! it was difficult in the beginning. i go home after work and get to lounge around for about a couple of hours. there were a few times i was sooo tempted to just stay in and watch tele… fortunately i’ve been disciplined enough. because jiu jitsu is very practical, when you miss a class, you actually miss out quite a fair bit. and after every class, i feel good… although i’m aching and bruised.
in just 4 weeks, my stamina has definitely improved and i can feel my muscles toning up. i’ll definitely be keeping up with this.
i made it to my first jiu jitsu class. it was refreshing and fun! i am reminded of why i started doing it 4 years ago. it was really good to feel my body working. no doubt my stamina needs much improvement… i’m up to the challenge! i’ve paid for the next 4 weeks. i look forward to it!
that is when i said i will start the jiu jitsu classes. i go for holiday for a week and get back in time for a class on that date. considering it will be paid classes, it will be motivation to turn up. this can be marked off as done once i have completed a full month of twice a week training. yay!
this has to be achieved! i am going to check on the jiu jitsu class today. once i start that, i would have killed 2 birds with one stone – it’ll be regular exercise and starting jiu jitsu again…
it’s great how your entry is dated… 5 weeks ago i went rollerblading and i’ve not done it again… hahahah…
it was a beautiful saturday morning. and so i decided i had to do it. i had to make use of my roller blades. my partner rode his bike and i bladed. we live near the central business district so there is nowhere to do proper blading there. we don’t have a car to bring my partner’s bicycle in to go to the beach or park… we ended up going around the city, which wasn’t too bad as the streets were empty, being a saturday. we then realised we could go all the way to an area called marina south. marina south is a recreation area – http://sg.pagenation.com/sin/marina%20south/103.8665/1.2804.map
i managed to do some high intensity blading. couldn’t do much though as i am so unfit! i think i only managed 5 minutes and i was hyperventilating. terrible!
we had so much fun, cept for the nasty blister i developed on my ankle and it tore on the way back! it was torture. we decided that we should do this every week… we shall see…
does dancing in a club every week count as exercise? sigh… i can’t believe i have not made use of my roller blades…
