My ancestry is Norwegian 19 months ago

After a lot of research, my aunt went over a few years ago and visited with distant cousins. I’d love to do the same, especially with my boys, as I’m more into thinking about ties to our histories and where our relatives came from.

I am mostly Norwegian by blood(my Grandfather is 100% Norwegian) so I think it would be cool to get a chance sometime to visit.

endless days in norway 2 years ago

I’d never thought too much about visiting Norway but wanted to do an overseas exchange while at Uni and the Managing Diversity course offered at Bodø University was suggested to me. Spent a sensational month living in student accomodation with students from all over the world (I actually spent my 23rd birthday there, sirus :)) and ventured out on day trips during those endless Arctic Circle days (the sun didn’t set for most of June/July). Went hiking and camping, took in an island rock festival, caught the ferry to Kjerringoy with its stunning white sand beaches and preserved 18th century trading-come-tourist village. Breath-taking scenery and friendly people. Loved it. Loved those 24 hours of daylight while they lasted, too…

just recently... 2 years ago

I’ve never really knew anything about Norway until just recently when school started, a few foreign students from Norway came to my school. One of them named Vilde really caught my eye; with freckles, brownish – orange curly hair, beautiful eyes and a striking personality (as you can see i developed a big crush on her). We started to talk and we became pretty good friends. We talked about her life back in Norway and things like that. Just yesterday, I had an English assignment to write an essay persuading someone to go a country. Thinking about Vill, i decided to use Norway. After learning about Norway i was blown away by the land/culture, the views, the people/culture, everything about it. I really wish i could go to Norway sometime.
