Yes, I joined 25,000 other gays and lesbians and their parents and friends on a march down Market Street in San Francisco.
It was an awesome feeling.
Prop 8 passed, we’re disappointed, but its failure has brought people out from within the woodwork, people who have never protested a thing in their lives. When rights are taken away, boy, it galvanizes even those who would be happier sitting on their couches.

No kidding. Still, what is there to do but continue the struggle? It’s been going on my whole life. So it continues.

One campaign guy for No on Prop 8 told us a few months ago that if Prop 8 goes down in defeat, it is likely that the feds will recognize gay marriages within 15 years or so. If Prop 8 passes, that time pushes back to 30 or so years. Yikes.
