I watched the sun set and I was sure I would see it, because I kept seeing different colored flashes as it went down. But no green flash . . . the weather seemed just perfect for it, too.

I saw it (the movie) again today.
While it is hard for anything to displace the Marquise of O in my memory, at the moment I think that it is my favorite also.
Marie RiviĆ©re is amazing. She is also the female lead in The Aviator’s Wife, in which she plays a very different character, only equally as nervous.
It’s a good movie to see to increase your fortitude when you are going out alone.

The Aviator’s Wife tonight.
I used to have a goal of watching all of Rohmer’s films, but then my stupid broken heart got in the way.

I didn’t actually do this. I was so sure the day that I checked it off that I was going to do this that night but then I didn’t. I still haven’t, but at least today I found the movie in a video store and rented it. I probably won’t actually watch this tonight, but instead watch the movie I got the other day, which is due sooner.

But I’m planning on renting this tonight. It seems like the perfect time to do, since my last day of classes was yesterday (hard to believe that I survived this year, oog) and my summer vacation seems imminent. Besides, I need the space on my list.

It’s been cold and very clear, so when the sun goes down it is clearly visible all the way to the horizon. But since it is winter the sun isn’t setting right out my window right now. I would have caught it on my way home from the butcher’s tonight, but I just missed it.

Now that I have moved to a house on a hill, with windows facing west, thirty blocks from the ocean, I’m all set :)
