i have never been in danger of being early for anything in my life! i have had my job for about 10 months, and i started out alright. i would be about 5 minutes late every day, which wasn’t a huge deal unless i had to unlock the office first for some reason. now i show up typically 30 to 45 minutes late every morning, which is terrible! i work in a small office that is good about giving people flexibility, but i am definitely not making other workers happy. there isn’t anything i have to do right away in the morning, but i am expected to be here on time. what do i do it stresses me out every single day, because i always have great intentions and believe i will be on time. somehow it never happens…

i just started a job three weeks ago and it started off good. now i’m always late and about to be fired over it.
I couldn’t help bu notice how many postings there are on this site regarding being late, oversleeping, forgetting, etc. I’d like to add a little something that you may want to take a look at. www.awakeontime.net. It is a wake-up call and reminder service that I think quite a few of you will find useful. Its personalized, automated and has cool options for professionals as well as students and busy parents. Mention this posting from this site and get 20% off your service forever!
I’ve always had such problem with this, but it has gotten horrendous the last year or so…here’s hoping writing this down will help out along with a more conscience effort.

Much better at this now.
is easy, by tricking yourself. If your like me, and always late, pretend you start work at a different time, 1/4 or 1/2 an hour earlier than you really do. That way, if your aiming to be at work at 8.45 when you start at 9, being 5 or 10 minutes late actaully means your 5 minutes early.
I’ve been on time for the last two weeks… Anyone who knows me at all is aware that I always have a passionate intention to be on time, it has just NEVER really worked out for me. I have to make a serious and conscious effort to try to be really early, and then I usually make it to my destination RIGHT on time. Everyone else seems to have this daily traveling down to a science.
However messed up my timing usually seems to be, I’ve made it to work on-time or early for the last 10 times I’ve worked. You have no idea how spectacular this accomplishment is for me. It’s a good thing my job is really lenient about arrivals…
