join the raf

I want to become an Aircraft Technician (Mechanical), so far i have applied and taken the aptitude test on 23rd July 2009, but since everything is unavailable at the moment i might need to wait until September before my job opens up. In the meantime i’m waiting for my AFCO to contact me for interviews and fitness tests. I’ve been told that in 2010 i will definatley be a member of the RAF. :D

I would really like to join the air force as an officer, it’s all i want to do!

Heya i’m dedicated to joining the RAF and i’d like to go to a six form defence college first
My main problem is maths as i am not very good at it but i am willing to work hard.

i have applied and got my pschometric tests in a month and fitness and medical after. cant wait really excited about the idea its something completely different to what i have ever done before.

Our time is precious. I think an absolute minimum commitment is 5 yrs in the RAF. If it’s 5yrs of dread, out of the frying pan in to the fire it’s not a good career move. On the other hand the whole world could open up with a myriad of choices. It will depend who you meet? where you stay? who’s going to be around you on a daily basis? what the wages are like? that will make make it or break it for me. Can I do a lot of good in being there and not just a cog in a gigantic war machine?
