Min. of 5 precious years??  — 10 months ago

Our time is precious. I think an absolute minimum commitment is 5 yrs in the RAF. If it’s 5yrs of dread, out of the frying pan in to the fire it’s not a good career move. On the other hand the whole world could open up with a myriad of choices. It will depend who you meet? where you stay? who’s going to be around you on a daily basis? what the wages are like? that will make make it or break it for me. Can I do a lot of good in being there and not just a cog in a gigantic war machine?

I have been denied. I need to have lived in England for at least 3 years before my application.

I’ve been doing plenty of research over the past couple of months about the different careers that are open to me, life in the RAF, the selection process and training. I’ve requested more information from them, but I had to do it in writing because I’m currently overseas.

I’m hoping to hear from them soon, but I’m a bit worried that they will reject the enquiry.
