over the last four years I’ve slowly put on about 20 lbs that I thought would just come off someday and that isn’t happening. So now I have clothes in three different sizes. Some I never wore:( but I hate to get rid of them and then lose the weight and have to replace them. I guess I could box them up…and start plan to lose the weight. 3 years ago

simplicity makes on one’s life. Opening drawers with organized contents which encourage me to want to put things back from which they came. Closets with room to grow. The confidence of knowing where something goes without even thinking… I am so happy to have organization rule my life once again and donations are ready just in time for the Christmas holiday. 6 years ago

I feel as though a lion may jump out of my closet, as it has grown wildly out of control like the conga. After settling down from our big move, the boxes have come out and ever so slowly, the wardrobe keeps growing and growing. I have come to realize that many outfits are the wrong size or some have been hanging for far too long.
Keeping clothes that don’t fit or not in good repair just isn’t healthy. So my first obsticle will be to idetify those which are out of style or too small/big. Then assess the wear and tear on the items worth keeping. I am not the handiest person when it comes to mending, but I have all the necessary tools to take care of small fixes.
When it’s down to the bare few I want to keep, I like to place all items of clothing in order according to color – regardless of what category it fits under (top, jacket, sweater, slacks…). That way I will be able to see what I have and if I need to do any SHOPPING! :D
I want to make a donation by Christmas Eve, so I had better get busy… 6 years ago
