A few stray ones from Easy St. Love the Spinal Tap ones, Jeremy pointed those out for me :) 6 years ago
Ordered online. They belong in a class completely their own :) 6 years ago
Picked this up at a show, El Corazon, with that pesky ex fiancee….pretty damn cool show. This button is in a class of its own :( 6 years ago
This came as a set of four, bought online, all Super Mario Bros. themed…I lost two, so sad :( 6 years ago
I like these but they’re hard to look at. My ex fiancee gave me these. I think he made the “spay me” one but Im not sure. But yeah I keep ‘em around, regardless… 6 years ago
Some of these are hilarious, like the ones based on old 90’s Nickelodeon shows. I got Chris Farley going “La Di Freakin Da!”, the green one in the upper right hand corner. Spongebob Squarepants, you cant see it, but the script has him saying “oh well I guess I’m not wearing my pants today!” 6 years ago
Now, I dont just take any old button and add it to the collection. All of them have some kind of significance. Having said that, I present the 2005 Folklike Festival pin. I got it after donating five bucks at said festival, held at Seattle Center every year. That was a good day, and a good date with Jeremy, still friends over a year and a half later. I kept in on my purse for awhile, looked kinda cool with the lime green thing it had goin’ on. 6 years ago
These ones I bought at arguably one of the best record shops out there, Easy Street Records…West Seattle branch, naturally. I like that one better than Queen Anne’s, anyway.
I particularly like the one of Johnny Cash flipping off the camera. Yes, I like all of the bands pictured. The black one says “I Love Pirates”, for some reason.
yeah, support your local record shop. 6 years ago
These three are actually among my all time faves, for obvious reasons. Got these down at Pike Place market (also obvious).
I like to get my buttons at unique places. I’ll admit a few collections I got at Hot Topic. Bought a few online, and will do so again. 6 years ago
It started at a smoke shop back in the town I mostly grew up in, a little shop called Smoking Joes was the only good place to get any paraphenalia. Luckily I found these buttons, too, and it started a good thing. A few got faded from water damage, you can tell…the white one with a phone actually says “call me when you get a life”. Dont know if you can tell on the others, the black one says “Do You Smell Gasoline?” The black with orange says “Kiss Me I’m A Geek”. These early ones are actually a few of my favorites. The happy face with fangs is definately an all time fav. So is the black/grey one that says “Turn Up the Rock”. The red/black one with devil horns used to be much cooler, that one got ruined by moisture. Still love it though. I’m waxin’ nostalgic, wont let that one go. 6 years ago
