woo, my little plan worked last night, despite the fact that i’d had caffeine and didn’t wake up until 5pm! today i didn’t have caffeine but i did take a nap for about 45 mins., oops. i feel pretty tired from swimming for three hours or so so i’m hoping it won’t make a huge difference.

GOD, it felt so good to sleep normally for a night. and so good to do it without meds.

i am sooo sick of my insomnia. obviously, the prescription medication isn’t working anymore so i am going for more natural means – i am really going to hit this goal hard because the lack of sleep is literally driving me insane.

some of my attempts to resolve the sleeping issues are:

1. no caffeine
2. go to bed at 11 and get up at 8, whether i sleep or not
3. NO NAPS.
4. exercise every day
5. drink chamomile tea
6. take a melatonin around 10 pm
7. read in bed for 20-30 mins

we’ll see how this goes! it’s really starting tomorrow, because i did drink caffeine today.

Giving up temporarily 16 months ago

While my twins are still babies, there’s no way this is going to happen. Best just to accept it and move on.

Ugh. 16 months ago

I went out drinking, and my schedule got all thrown off. I’m surprised how easy it was for me to slip back into my bad sleeping habit, which is forcing myself to stay awake just ONE more hour (and just ONE after that, and just ONE more after that) even though I feel exhausted. That’s it. I’m going to sleep. RIGHT NOW, I SAY!

Bad scheduling 16 months ago

I never can seem to get into a regular sleep schedule. At the very least, I’d like to have enough willpower to get up when I wake up on the weekends.

I'm doing such a good job. 16 months ago

I’ve been going to bed between 8pm and 10pm, getting up at 8am or 9am, for the last four or five days. My body clock is almost fixed, and I’m feeling good.

Off to a bad start. 16 months ago

I fell asleep at 4pm yesterday, and slept until midnight. I’m going to be tired again by this afternoon. Guh.

Sleeping. 16 months ago

I hear a regular sleep pattern aids in weight loss.
I think I’ll go to bed a 1am for a while, and work my way back to midnight, and then 11pm.
