I’ve always wanted to have a small family farm, be able to raise my kids with fields and teach make sure they knew that real food came from the ground and not from a bag or can. I’ve been planning on spending an internship on a farm and I found a website to help me do it: Organic Volunteers .
I want to live somewhere in the northwest: Oregon, Washinton, Idaho, even Montana.

I really really want to live on a farm. I want a huge garden and goats and horses and a barn and rabbits. And a milk cow. Or a gamoosa is fine if the farm is in Egypt but noooo egyptain weird sheep. See above. Ug the weird tails. Only American sheep y’all!

formosanbobsled was trying to get work done and is going to go eat pineapple
In theory, I’d like to have a farm with methane, a diverse set of lifeforms, renewable energy, sustainable soil management, compost, earthworms, etc.

What’s better than walking on your own land, with not a soul in sight but pretty little plants growing that can feed people and make them happy- awesome..

I’ve wanted to farm since I was 3. No kidding. I work on one and am in the process of looking for one to purchase.

The more I consider the continuation of graduate school, the more I really want to live in a community that is liberal and farming based. I know this is a bit Jeffersonian, but it is really my ideal. I think city life leaves a lot to be desired, and a lot is missed.
I’m dangerously overeducated and I haven’t actually done much outside, ever.
