In theory, I’d like to have a farm with methane, a diverse set of lifeforms, renewable energy, sustainable soil management, compost, earthworms, etc.

I’ve wanted to farm since I was 3. No kidding. I work on one and am in the process of looking for one to purchase.

Thinking about life... 7 months ago

The more I consider the continuation of graduate school, the more I really want to live in a community that is liberal and farming based. I know this is a bit Jeffersonian, but it is really my ideal. I think city life leaves a lot to be desired, and a lot is missed.

I’m dangerously overeducated and I haven’t actually done much outside, ever.

We are ready to return to nature, to sense the seasons before they arrive, to be involved in our food from conception to consumption.

We are ready to spend our mornings on long wandering walks picking up lovely leaves and neat rocks, raising our son by fishing creeks and hiking hills, exploring many acres of unadulterated land.

We are ready to have a spacious cozy home of our own with vast views and mature forests surrounding us. We are ready for the simple sounds of wildlife, running water and rustling trees.

    We are ready….

I just stumbled across this website, the only reason I did is because it’s similar to my name on here! =O Call it fate or spooky, but it seems pretty good, and consistant.
She says its a blog about the Australian farm life, and it’s pretty spot on as to my experience!

A good site for those wanting a taste of the REAL life on a farm.
