Learn how to make gumpaste flowers

I really want to learn how to make gumpaste flowers but in the caribbean we don’t have a facility that teaches it. Does anyone know of an online source where i can learn for free?

I love cake decorating. I love using new and improve ideas and techniques when decorating a cake.Therefore i will love to learn how to make gumpaste flowers.

and I’ve only learned a couple of flowers, but I’m excited to have gotten started. There is a class to learn buttercream embossing and you make a huge gumpaste bow topper (which is what I want to learn for the wedding cake I’m making), so maybe I can take that next!

I’m VERY excited about this because…

• I LOVE daisies; they’re one of my favorite flowers
• I SUCK at making royal icing daisies
• I think I actually have a chance at making good gumpaste daisies
• You can make gumpaste flowers way in advance, which is SO helpful!!

I am starting my fondant and gumpaste class at Michaels tomorrow. I really want to get into the flowers too though. I am planning to go into business soon and the sales are in creativity.

I signed up for the class and bought my kit on Thursday. Class starts next Tuesday, so I’m on my way!! Whoo hoo!

at Michael’s. It starts next month, but if I take it I think I’ll wait until March, because that month is the special promotion “buy the kit, get the class free.” That’ll save me $30. Hopefully I can learn gumpaste bows too, because I might be making a wedding cake with bows, and I can do fondant, but I don’t like it, and all the gumpaste bows I’ve seen are much prettier and more realistic.

I’m excited!
