I used to love painting with my watercolor set when I was younger.
My paintings were never that good, but I was creative and it was fun to watch them manifest.
I don’t know why I stopped.
But… I was cleaning my room last week and I found this large elaborate thick folder that had in it an award from my state reps years ago for some honor society. I ripped out the award sheet and was going to recycle the folder as well… When I realized – this would make a great background for a painting. So I set it aside.
Today I had some extra time… so I found some paints… and created what was in my mind. A tree, some flowers, clouds, and a sun. It was very freeing. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I love any chance I get to be creative… and this really hit the spot.
Oh, and by the way…. I painted the majority of the picture with an old toothbrush. Yea!
