On page 164 after my lunch break and I will hopefully have some time to read this tonight too.
So far I am absolutely loving it. It may be one of my favorite books this year. SO glad I picked this goal back up again.
I adopted this goal a year and a half ago. I started off well. Bought the book, began reading it, set it down to not to return until now.
But I am determined to get this goal done. I finished my book for school in a week, finished the book club book, and now I am free to read whatever I choose.
Will start this on my lunch break today. Going to make myself start from the begining even though I had gotten to around page 100 1.5 years ago. I won’t remember enough of it so that the book will make sense if I try to start off where I left off.
So, here are my opening statistics:
340 Pages
20 Pages I usually read a day
17 Days to finish
13 Start Date in August
30 Projected Finished Date in August
Woohoo! Excited to get going on this one. FINALLY.
Got it back from T whom I gave it to at the begining of the summer because he also wants to read it. Figure I can probably read it and have it back to him before he would have even started.
But, its the third on the list. Behind my book club book and the book for school.
I wonder if one of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective people is to finish reading the books you start?
Opps.
Homedotmade…we bonded over this original goal. You finished, I’m still a slacker.
But 2008 will be the year! LOL.
Woohoo…taken a little longer than thought to start on this but I’ve finally begun.
This book is more dense than I expected it to be and I’ve already put in atleast 2 hours reading it. Wow, only a quarter of the way through.
This one is absolutely worth reading. Small doses if necessary, but do it. Let your mind roam. Have a notebook handy for thoughts that come to you, or just a few stickies.
The first time I started it, it was too much for me. I took what I could from it at the time. Two months ago I was ready to read it again, start to finish. Still haven’t done all the exercises in detail, but I’ve played around with them enough to know I’ll revisit them again and again.
I ordered this book throught the paper back swapping online club that I belong to. Over the last year I had completely forgot about the website but recently, looking at my bookshelf and realizing that I haven’t read a lot of these books in years and that I kept buying new ones, I remembered it.
I think that it’s better to release these books that I’ve really enjoyed into the reading community so that other’s can enjoy them too instead of keeping them as a testiment to my intelligence & literary savy (cuz, I’ll be honest, I see my book collection as a reflection of myself). This is all part of my goal for 2007: to be REAL with myself.
So, Ilet got of my trophies and posted my books to share. I have already shipped four of them out to other members and received one with two on the way.
I’m excited to read this…when it arrives :).
