It’s really easy to connect with people when I flow with it. This weekend, I got together with a group of fun individuals and just hanged out with them – no expectations of anything more. The only thing I wanted from the experience was to have a good time and to come home smiling, which I did. In the past my mind would race ahead and idealize everything before it ever happened. Then, of course, nothing would live up to my ideals and I’d go home disappointed. Now I know that being open to experiences is the best way to have a great time. It may acutally be the only way.
