Programming not for everyone. 3 years ago

It takes a special kind of person to enjoy programming. Not everyone has that spark. It is most definitely not a field to enter purely for the money. If you don’t have the desire, you will not enjoy it. Programming takes a lot of logical thinking and the ability to break down problems and solve the bits in order.

A quick test to see if you’ll enjoy programming is to think back to those little word problems in your math classes. Did you enjoy them? Was it a challege that you enjoyed completing? That’s the easiest correlation to programming, because in essence your job will consist of taking word problems from customers or your employer and devising solutions.

Just don’t listen to people who claim that programming is not worth it.

It makes you think more logically 3 years ago

In the end object oriented programming teaches you how to look at life and break it down into ways that make it possible for you to model. This helps you in life in general because it makes you more analytical and logical.
