i have a very cute little book that is title “Avid Reader” and through small small cartoons on page corners it tells the story of a little man who tried to find the “perfect reading place”. It’s really really cute and I write A LOT of quotes from my books that I read (I am a voracious reader…very, very, very voracious and avid) =) it is my favorite possession in this world and I re-read them constantly. I always keep the book in my purse and take it everywhere I go. =) I love it.

so i’ll just go and start with it after taking my shower… :)

Me and my Best friend finally started our own quote book. on the two front pages were included the title, our names, the start and end date of the book, Warnings, “this book contains all of the following” and a “the following cannot read this”. we wrote in a few pages of quotes from the past. we had alot of laughs over our stupid insides jokes,quotes,sayings etc. I’m getting another notebook today to write down the quotes i like.

By the way, did everyone notice all those clever little quotes on the right hand side of the screen. Some of them are really good.

I just love quotes! When I find one that I like, it serves as a simple and oftentimes amusing way to just remind me of what’s important in life. :O)

I am thinking of using the notebook my bestfriend gave me as a quote book. I wanna add me and my bestfriend’s quotes to that one and supposively buy another notebook to use for more famous or so quotes. <3

for people who want to write, or who write and need more ideas, or who think they can’t write but have not yet realized they can, keeping a quote book can be a very powerful tool. i teach writing to elementary and middle school students and the quote books they keep are hilarious because unlike our quote books which we feel duty-bound and hipster-qualified to fill with the words of mary oliver and martin luther king jr., their books include things they say to one another—by turns powerful, humbling, and just plain ridiculous.

i have a quote book that i’ve been writing in for years—quotes from books i’ve read, students i’ve taught, fellow travelers i’ve met saving spots in line at train stations half a world away so strangers can put down their giant REI backpack and go to the bathroom relatively unencumbered.

once you become excited about and committed to writing in and learning from a quote book, the world creates the text for you: all you have to do is be the scribe.

me and my friend have this book where we put everything funny that people say and do in it.It’s not like famous people quotes-hey someday we could be.Anyway whenever we look back at it, it always makes us smil.And it gets other people to be like-what are they laughing at? Anyway,try it,its definatley worth it for the laughs!!!LOL

I started this a couple of years ago after reading through a camp friend’s notebook. I went out and purchased a little journal from Barnes and Noble and have been penning in quotes ever since.
