I will literally fly to anywhere in the world - heck, I’ll run to anywhere in the world - to see her live in concert.
I’ve been to one other concert before. It was Boyz II Men in Toronto but I only went because Mary J. Blige was opening. I was ready to leave after she was done her two (or was it three?) songs but my friend liked BIIM, poor thing.
Used to look oddly at the Michael Jackson concerts and similar events where fans, excited to the point of fainting, were carried away by paramedics. Good grief, I’m practically like that when I listen to any of Hill’s songs on audio recordings.
The Lord’s name gets invoked, my hands go up in praise, and I’m close to tears. This lady is an evolving, complex musical genius. Pure genius.
Can’t say enough but I’ll stop gushing now. Okay, one more…
