I’ve never actually seen Rapa Nui, but the story of how the heads were made is very interesting. The Easter Island people must have known when they cut down the last tree to use it to transport the head. Complete deforestation with ensuing starvation for religious reasons. Sounds somewhat familiar…

I don’t know which of the two islands this is, but I wish I was there. If this picture was taken at 8 o’clock in the morning, and it’s 14:45 in Europe now, does it mean it was taken tmorrow? I am confused. It should be east of the dateline. What happens when you cross it?
