Getting a job in financial services has taught me a lot but a bear market still plays with my emotions.
A man that I worked for trades stocks online for a couple hours a day and he’s a millionaire. He has a castle in Scotland, a house in Germany, a house in England, and a house here in the US. He has tons of books that I’ve been reading and he tells me all about what he does but it’s really confusing…
a bit of research on this and it’s gotten to the point where I’m just procrastinating because I’m just not big on risk taking. I need to stop stalling and start putting my research to good use.
Moose "Bork!"
a long-term (as in don’t want to do it yet!!) goal.
::e-raspberry::
Moose "Bork!"
and I am still none the wiser…!
Just a vague knowledge would do! Not sure I have any kind of plan for this goal at all though!!
about this a bit earlier in the week. I didn’t know how he’d take it – we don’t talk about much at all. But he was a stockbroker for a long time and I wanted to glean some basic information. He was pretty receptive and I’m glad I summoned up the courage.
I discovered that my job offers a free basic finance/ investing class. I plan on taking that when it is offered next, which I believe is in January.
I will start reading books on Investing in stocks and mutual funds to gain a getter understanding. Once I have saved a significant amount of dollars I will start to invest for the future!!!!
