have the next day go really, really quickly

It was a really, really, really long wait, but my team mate tells me that it’s gone, now, so the goal is complete. The reward is worth any wait, however long, but, no, wow, this was not a short wait, at all – plus it went slower and slower as it dragged on and on and on.
