I will always live this way, so I will make space for a more practical goal.
The world is such an amazing place and I don’t want to take it for granted.
Throughout this past year I have had a lot of ups and downs that have shown me that life is really about giving. I want to know that I am apart of something greater than myself and show my appreciation for it.
I did another day of volunteering at the Sippy Creek Animal Refuge on Friday. A friend and I also took in a bathtub they can use for the dogs to cool down in and a mountain of cat food we collected for fellow workmates in our organisation. I am thinking of shifting to the cattery over the dogs as the other volunteers there are much easier to work with and of a calmer temperament much like the cats!
4 hours done today. Will take along a lovely cake to share for morning tea next time!
volunteering at the animal shelter, buying gifts that support growth in developing nations, contributing to my community, teaching english overseas, charity work to help children, supporting the environment, donating to endangered species, being a JP, anything that lets me put something back into the world.

Dr. Job’s Visit & Tapestry Appreciation Month
Dr. Job was a blessing and I think that no one knew just how much of one he would be. I have to say that I have never seen more people in the house and the worship was amazing! And you know, it really doesn’t matter how the performance is when you know that God is near. And I don’t know about you guys, but I definitely felt His Presence!
Dr. Job shared his stories about God’s miraculous provision and blessing, the story of his son Michael’s martyrdom and how we all should embrace the pain in life we go through and praise the Lord in the midst of it, recognizing that it was HIS in the first place.
My favorite quote he used was by G. Campbell Morgan, “Only a crucified man can preach a crucified Christ.”
And Sunday, we saw what that kind of man looks like. I encourage you to support his ministry and see the links below to find out more about how you can help.
Here are Ten Top Tidbits of what happened last night:
1. We had almost 70 people there last night.
2. Dr. Job gave our first TRUE altar call with ministry time.
3. PEOPLE CAME FORWARD!!!! hahaha!
4. We had a couple new countries represented last night.
5. A huge chunk of the Tour is spoken for. And Dr. Job will be speaking for it! He will be a part of the NC leg. And the date will be May 11-21, 2007. Everything else is TBA!
6. Prophetic words and dreams were coming from every direction.
7. Worship was knock your socks off, slap your mama good!
8. Everyone jumped in to tear down and make sure visitors were connected.
9. There was ~$750 raised for DR. Job, we gave another $500 as a church, the Reserve has raised $1000 to date, not counting Our (Dustin & Lori) gift of $2000 which we will officially give in a couple weeks, and we had a total of ~$2424 given last night, a new Tapestry Church high!!!!
10. God came! And I really feel like He wants you all to know that He was VERY happy. Our Heavenly Daddy loves this stuff. He’s proud of you all.
A couple of other things to remember are that…
October 1st, Pastor Johnny Crist will be with us.
October 8th, The Voice of the Martyrs will be with us.
September 29th, we will be leaving for our Refreshing at the Reserve.
The Last Sunday in October, we will be celebrating everyone in the Tapestry as we wrap up Tapestry Appreciation month!
So, don’t miss out!
Blessings!
