Losing the Fight 19 months ago

Every night when I get tired I start devouring my healthy dessert, Walnuts or Almonds with raisins, and sometimes with blueberries or fat-free cottage cheese. I don’t get sleepy until late, and then I collapse into a feeding frenzy. If I go to bed early, I can’t sleep, and get up agian to putter around. I’ll keep going.

Not doing it and I’m staying uncomfortably too close to 200, and I had gotten to 188 during last summer. But, I will persevere.

My binging is small, like desert, some almonds and raisins in a bowl, or two of them, of spoon size shredded wheat and smart balance spread, but it’s light enough that I’m keeping my weight safely under 190 at my regular morning weigh-in.

I’ve been binging a little when I’m really tired and can’t think or act responsibly. BUT I’m still usually below 190, although last week I went to a dinner and had a great piece of roast beef, and a baked potato, It’s hard to picture, but I jumped from 188 to 193 the next day, but tonight, when I’m usually the heaviest I hit 189. So I’m feeling good about that.

My birthday was June 30, and Sonia’s ex-husband and son were over to visit her after her surgery, and all of a sudden her Ex got up and left the house. When he got back he had a beautiful birthday cake so we had real nice birthday party. Then, about 5/6 of the cake ended up in my fridge starting at me begging to be eaten. Then on the 4th of July Johnny had a party at his house and the next day brought a couple of huge pieces for me and his mother. She disn’t want it, so I had to monitor myself and eat only a couple bites a day. I still have some to go, but I am watching over my shoulder when I eat to yell at myself if I get the urge. A couple times I felt like eating the whole thing at once, but I didn’t!!



It's working 2 years ago

Exercise plus the lost weight are motivating me to have an attitude of dislike for “tasty” food. It’s hard to keep from alienating family and friends when they push me to “take just a little; it’s SOOO good!



Control 2 years ago

I’m cutting down, and fighting the desire to satisfy my mouth when the stomach does not need anything. The result is more constant weight, a couple pounds lost, and less desire at night when my sleepiness overcomes all reason.
