Scrabulous 2 years ago

I added the Scrabulous ap to my Facebook profile. And I’ve got a couple of friends here in town that I play with. So that’s a plus.

scrabble is awesome 2 years ago

but boggle is better…it’s so rock’n’roll it hurts…I reckon that it has gotta be done with a strong coffee or a beverage.

too many things to do 3 years ago

and life is short.
this ain’t a priority!

started memorizing the 3-letter words a while ago, then pooped out after the letter ‘b’. (d’oh!)
Need to pick this up again!

Started reading "Word Freak" 3 years ago

and I highly recommend it. Very engaging, interesting, inspiring, even funny.

As for the rest of it, I am quizzing myself on the two-letter words, with varying degrees of success. I’d say I’ve got about 75 down pat, with plenty of room for improvement as far as drummming up the rest.

Working my way through this book - 3 years ago

“Everything Scrabble.” It’s got tons of tips and strategies and word lists and all that other good stuff. I definitely need to memorize the two letter words, the Q-words, and some seven letter words (I hardly ever get bingos!). I also got another book called “Word Freak,” which is about competitive Scrabble play. Haven’t started yet, but I think I’m going to enjoy it!

Nevermind the bingos... 3 years ago

...but maybe I’ll focus on memorizing the mere 96 two-letter playable words. (I just finished reading Word Freak.)

sheesh 4 years ago

THis might never happen, because it would require me to subject other people to endless scrabble-frenzy… nevertheless someday my people will find me. onetime I wanted to start a scrabble club. didja know?

I hate missing easy bingos. I need to work the board better and know when to play defensively and when not to. Two good next steps would be to memorize the 3-letter words and to read Everything Scrabble, but I’m not yet ready to geek out so exquisitely.
