I’ve seen this on Animal Planet. There is a zoo here in California that lets you pet the tigers as they go for their walk. Where in California is that?

How to pet a tiger

How I did it: Went to a wild cat rescue place that was poorly kept. There was a sedated tiger tied up in a pin and I asked to come in and help feed him and the guy said "ok" like it was no big deal. The poor thing was wimpering and I just reached over and petted his head and he stopped for a second. When I walked away he started again. Thankfully that place has been shut down and those cats are in better sanctuary's hopefully. Lessons & tips: Don't buy a tiger for a pet. You wont be able to handle it and it will end up in a poorly kept rescue place or dead. Not cool. They aren't meant to be pets. |

It was such an awesome experience! Tigers have always been my favorite animal and to be able to hold a tiger cub was just amazing!

I love tigers. White tigers are my favorite. I’ve always wanted a pet tiger. My husband takes me to the zoo at least once a year just so I can see the white tigers, and we always come back to them 2 or 3 times before we leave. If I could pet a tiger, one of my dreams in life would be accomplished, silly as that may seem.
Anyone know a way of doing this that wouldn’t require medical attention afterwards? :)

can anyone help me find a place taht i could take my girlfriend to pet a tiger it is one of my dreams for her because she loves them and it would be an awesome gift for her from me.. can anyone help???
I ued to go to a camp for disabled kids every summer. When I was six, some cat compound owners brought a tiger. They said it’d been rescued from a cirus by a rich couple and it was raised on their houseboat until it got too large; at which point it was giving to their compound. They had us all sit in a circle and they walked it around on a leash so we could all pet it.
