donate clothes to charity

I wound up with 12 (!) bags of clothes, bags/purses, and shoes to donate to local charities.

And now I can get to the clothes I actually wear with greater ease.

I have way more clothes than I need, including a bunch of stuff that a) doesn’t fit quite right or b) as potential but needs work (that I don’t have the time or inclination to do) before it’s wearable by me. And my closet’s a disaster area. So as part of the closet-cleaning project before I move at the end of this summer, I’m going to donate a bunch of my clothes to various local charities, including charity shops supporting a no-kill animal shelter and a women’s shelter.

Looking back, I wish I was able to capture the looks of people receiving the clothes and makeup I gave away.

Of course now I just shop and if the sales clerk makes any snide remarks, I take my money elsewhere…and flaunt my purchases to the manager of the store later, while remarking how the actions of their sales associate costs them a chunk of change! ;)

Revenge is best served cold.

I want to help people get things they need,because befor my grandma passed away she always told me ‘when I die I want people who have nothing to recive all my thing’ such as shoes and clothes, and that is what I want to do for her.I want her to be be happy even though she is not her anymore.

I’ve got a big bag full of stuff to take down now. I’ll be near Oxfam there on Thuursday I think so I’ll go donate then.

I don’t throw away any clothes and I get pissed when I see people throw away somthing that could be donated. I donate my old clothes to the slavation army or the local thrift store.

I always bitch at people for throwing out old clothes instead of giving them to the Cancer Research shop but I never have. I cleared out my room recently and my mum and I emptied her big wardrobe and we found tonns of old holiday clothes, so next time I’m in Milngavie cross I’ll go donate them =]

Did it off & on during the past year. Mostly husband and my stuff. I did sell the better of the kids stuff & then passed the rest onto charity.

totally worth doing.. yo0h feel so much better that u helped the less fortunate, and yo0h get rid of the things that yooh dont like anymore.. plus, there is more room in ur cupboard, which calls for shopping.. <3
