play baseball with a grapefruit

hurricanes, most are gone. We planted new ones. Definitely a good thing to do, if you like fruit and the smell of orange blossoms is heavenly, in my humble opinion.

Anyhow, used to do this all the time, with my dad who started it. There’s a canal behind the fence and yard, where we often aimed to try for, or one of the many trees. It’s fun to use some partially rotting ones, just as to see how far they go before exploding. Be careful throwing them up in the air and swinging, sometimes the grapefruit ends up hitting you, rather than the bat!

This has been a dream of mine since the eighth grade. And all I have to do is take the initiative to find cool people and buy a couple of grapefruits. It will be golden.
