working on it

I actually think that I am getting better with this. Not having money really makes you think about what you need and what it is that you think you need but really just want. I like it. However, I would love to have money more often, but it is teaching me something and I asked God to help me manage my money better and He definitely is!

This time, I don’t think I am going to be able to pass. There is the cutest purse I’ve ever seen at work. It’s about $65.00, which isn’t too bad really. I want it. I am telling myself I need it. But I don’t. But I do. ahh.
I really don’t think that I am going to be able to pass this one up!

Kelley is right, ever since I started working in her store, I have gotten better with this goal. I am sooo tempted to buy some of the shoes and purses she has, but I always end up talking myself out of them. I love it because then I’m not spending 68 dollars on a pair of flats, or 150 dollars on the cutest purse ever made. haha
I want them, I’m not gonna lie, but I don’t need them.

I am doing better with this goal actually. I almost gave in to impulse four times last night because I got my income taxes back and I went to the mall to get a CD that I had been wanting for awhile and I ALMOST bought a purse, a wallet, jewlery, and a pair of shoes, but I talked myself out of them because I didn’t need them, I wanted them.
Go me!

This goes along with the whole saving money thing. I would love to learn to save my money to buy something that I really actually need but I always tend to spend it on pointless stuff that gives me a cheap thrill. That thrill goes away in an instant and then I’m left with no money to get what I need.
