consolidate my powers in 2007

Hmm. I belive my powers have become fractalized this past half-year and in a way I believe that is a good thing. It is as if I am not feeling the need to exert them as often as I used to, or not feeling the need to flex so often. Which means that often people underestimate me or think that I am cocky because I am way to confident/mysterious/quiet. It is as if I have taken the addage “of picking and choosing ones battles well” to heart. It forces me to reanalyze what truly is important and worth my extraordinary powers; to store up energy instead of frittering it away on constant minor issues. Then when the time is right, bam, my skills are fully focused on what I have decided is worth my time and effort. And that time approaches soon.

Oh, by the way. On a completely off-tangent segue: Has anyone seen SICKO yet? I saw it tonight and almost got in a brawl with a couple of Young Republicans who were heckling in the audience. Wondering what other peeps thought of it. It seems the media over here has already started a barage of attacks against it masked as professional journalism. So-called liberal journalism owned by multi-billionaires strikes again. Anybody seen it?

Ooo, and Captain America is dead. The writer claims it is not a political message. Hmmm. We shall see.

Okay. Might have to re-name this goal “Make better use of my time” so that I can consolidate my powers in 2007.

Its not that I’m slacking or wasting too much time, it is just that with 18 units and a tech theatre gig approaching where I will be pulling constant 16+ hour days, I need to be sure to concentrate 100% on the way I use my valuable time. And the times when I do get a break I need to be in a creative mode where I do not let the minor stresses of errands/bills/peeps distract me from kicking ass on the creative projects I do have this semester. Cuz if I’m not doing well on my creative projects then well I’ll just be pissed off at ME!

So, time to buckle up the straps on my magic elven work boots and tighten up that clock of creative concision! (Yes, I was a total D&D geek, no need for smart aleck remarks)

School has started again and at first it seemed my mojo was all entangled in a web of beauracratic clutter and bad financial ju ju . . . but now the clouds of oppressive dimwits have dissapated and my scholastic prowess is ready once again to throw down with the best of them.

Most of my classes seem to be easier than last semester EXCEPT for the rough and tumble Shakespeare Text & Performance masters level class being taught by my favorite challenging-as-hell professor. Now, that class should be a fist full of knowledge.

My first presentation and paper is going to be on the Tempest and the staging by today’s giants of modern Shakespearean directing. Fun!

Tis time to focus all of my superhuman powers on the things that matter the most in 2007. And stop letting my energy and time be wasted on unimportant and draining pojects or people that give nothing back to my creative output or personal happiness.

Sure it sound like some sort of self-help manifesto, but if you decipher it correctly, its all about “no half steppin’.”
