Well, it’s the first step in the right direction. A couple of days ago I stumbled upon this new Penguin Celebrations series (with vintage covers, I’m still not sure I like…) and since one of them was Hegemony or Survival by Noam Chomsky I just went ahead and bought it. I’ve read chapter one already but it takes a while to sink… especially for somebody like me who is used to reading novels.
But I’ll make my way through it – the topic is certainly very interesting!

i’m putting this elsewhere, it’s crowding my things!
I read a compilation of Chomsky’s interviews/lectures/discussions called ‘The Indispensible Chomsky’. I don’t think that counts, though, since he didn’t write any of it.
I’m working on ‘Necessary Illusions’ right now. Then:
‘The Culture of Terrorism’
‘Manufacturing Consent’
Imperial Ambitions
Hegemony or Survival
The Umbrella of US Power: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Contradictions of US Policy

Have borrowed one from the libary and am starting on a series of 1960-1970s lectures. I’m starting with lectures on ‘Interpreting the World’.
