WAKE UP! 10 months ago

I think that all this sleeping is really my new form of procrastination. If I’m “so tired” and can’t stay awake, it’s not really my fault if I can’t get everything done is it? I’ve gotten my body into this habit and now I’ve got to get out of it. I realize that I’m wasting days of my life in bed and I want to stop! I’m going to try to go to bed early tonight, wake up when my alarm goes off, and NOT take a nap tomorrow. One day at a time.

insanity: continuing the same behavior and expecting a different result

I am somehow ALWAYS still tired. Even if I tell myself I’m going to be productive and work on homework or something, I start dozing off. I’ve noticed that I’ve had lots of really long, vivid dreams lately, so maybe I’m not getting that great of quality sleep during the night? And a dog waking you up a few times here and there doesn’t help either.

I’m starting to think this may have something to do with not only this, but the fact that I’ve been eating pretty much crap and not exercising. I’d like to start taking better care of myself and hopefully this will help balance me out. Blah. Never thought naptime would be such an issue!

It may be narcolepsy... 12 months ago

...or I just really enjoy a good nap. I attribute it mostly to the large amount of sleeping I did while I was depressed, but I’m starting to get out of that slump. It is not normal to sleep 9-10 hours at night, and nap twice for at least an hour. There goes half my day. Especially when I work at night, all my time between school and work is spent in my bed, and I have better things to do :)
