Simplify.

My boyfriend and I generally share the same values, but nothing I’ve ever said about environmentalism or overconsumption has hit him as forcefully as seeing Wall•E.

Eliminate excess.

Well, I did it. I have my own apartment, AND I am currently on break from cleaning out my car! In addition, I got a new cell phone and have been operating quite well with only one phone number! It isn’t all roses, however. I need a full-time job. That’s what is really getting me down lately. I have taken tiisi’s advice, and started making a list of everything I accomplish within a 24hr time period. I am happy to report that it does make a difference!

got rid of a bunch of stuff that has been nagging at me, including a photo lens, an air “purifier” (which doesn’t really purify anything) and my first fax machine for the office. I’ll drop off most of the rest at out of the closet tomorrow.

My life has been quite complicated lately, because there has been so much going on. At some point I was wishing I could lead a simple life and just take it easy but now I’ve noticed that I actually enjoy it when a lot is happening. I want my life to be full of interesting events and new experiences.

However, there might be some stuff that just makes things more complicated without bringing anything good and getting rid of those would make my life simpler without removing anything that I don’t want to remove. The question is: how to recognize those things?

I don’t think I will be able to achieve this until I am done with school and clear of everything school related. I think after that I will be able to take some time and clear my life out and start fresh somewhere. But maybe that’s just a dream. A dream I hope will come true and that I will work towards.

this is going well. I love how things are for me right now.
work, school, friends… everything is falling into place

almost all of the clothes that I am not currently wearing. my friend A. took most of them, but L. got the shorty shorts and the “california swimming” tshirt, from the ex ex ex from way back. it has been my night shirt for years, and it’s sentimental (so I didn’t have the heart to bring it to goodwill), but I don’t think it’s fair to be sleeping in it, now that my heart is taken.
