Ways that things have been getting more simple: 2 days ago

1. A got a part time job that supports me & makes my afternoons free to pursue things I love.
2. I actually enjoy that job!
3. I work a lot closer to home but do still commute. I compromise by living closer to my friends and would not like to live in the city where my job is.
4. I’ve reconciled a friendship that was difficult in the past few weeks.
5. My relationship with R is going nicely :)

Books 6 days ago

I donated a few books today that I’m not going to read again.
Also some decorative “things” (I really don’t know what they are called, maybe tassles) that I cannot see myself actually using.

Unfortunately I’ve just bought a couple more books but they are ones that will be of much greater value to me :D

Made my list smaller again 1 week ago

I need to focus on just a few projects at the moment & also upon what is really important to me in life.

Things I’ve given up on, just for now, not forever :D

To Do 1 week ago

Sort:

1. Books – I have too many!
2. Misc clutter that doesn’t have a home.
3. My shelf in the pantry. It’s rather chaotic! (Mostly because I am too short for it & just throw stuff up there…)

Recently I used my keyboard stand to construct a rail for my clothes to hang on & this is actually working really well. My room doesn’t have a wardrobe or storage so this is great! Makes things more simple!

Paper Airplane Good lord, I love Ed Norton.

Nixing cable? 2 weeks ago

I’m seriously thinking about canceling it. I could save $75 a month. I’d miss the BBC and my DVR, but everything else I could watch online.

Donated some jewelry today 3 weeks ago

Things that I’ve been given that are not sentimental nor that I am fond of. A little less clutter :D

Nice! 4 weeks ago

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before, but my local grocery store has a fantastic website with planning tools, coupons, specials, etc.

They also have a floral department and carry aloe vera plants. My mom used to have these around the house for cuts and scrapes, and used the gel as lotion instead of buying bottles of the conventional stuff.

I almost spent $14 on a scar treatment, but something told me to see if I can find something better and cheaper. VoilĂ  – an aloe vera plant. Woot.

This may be pre-emptive 4 weeks ago

But as I got a new job today I no longer feel like selling some books that I’d planned to, rather, I’d like to just give them away. So tomorrow I am going to take them to a charity bin & create more happy space in my room :D

I’m giving my toaster to my friend’s flat tomorrow since the one there caught on fire O_o & my flat already has 3 other ones!!

Yay!

Shoeses 1 month ago

So, today I finally parted with two dearly loved pairs of boots that just are not going to be worth getting repaired. I’ve been hanging on out of sentimentality but really my life will be better without them.

I cut off all the buckles for future use & took out the shoe laces to reuse if needed in the future. It feels wasteful just throwing the rest out but I am not sure what to do with them & they were quite worn out.

I also have a pair of shoes to donate, one to sell that have just always been too big (which I bought 2nd hand in the first place – yay!)

I still have 2 pairs that I am considering getting fixed O_o & I have 3 pairs of good functioning footwear… Just need some outdoorsy footwear.

Feeling good about this. Though if I don’t get the others fixed I might have to re-think their fate.
