This isn’t happening until September, when I’m back in Boston and near my trusted hairdresser. I’ve worn side-swept bangs in the past but they’re impractical – I hated the fact that I constantly had to brush them out of the way because they were long and fell over one eye, impairing my vision.
This time I want heavy blunt bangs that end above my eyes. But I don’t trust anyone but my usual hairdresser when it comes to trying new cuts. Besides, my face is looking a little round right now and bangs would only emphasize the roundness. Waiting a couple of months – and losing a few kilos – should do the trick.

I’ve been wanting to get bangs for a while, and finally took the plunge! The only other time I had them was when I was younger and I hated them, so I was scared this time around. So far I like the way they came out, but it’ll take some time getting used to and seeing whether they were really worth it or not. The only thing is having to straighten them everyday will be a small hassle, but won’t be too bad.
I’m definitely glad I got them though, no matter how I end up feeling.

I’m afraid that because my hair is curly that my potential bangs will look awful. But I want to get bangs just so I can see what I look like with them.

I have come to the realization that finding a good hairdresser in this town are slim to none. Since I didn’t have time to meet with my old hairdresser back home, I have pondered on the temptation of doing it myself.
My friends think I’m crazy – my bangs are fully grown out & they look good, but I just want something different & more flattering to my face.
