Worth doing!
I’m officially starting monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worth doing!
So tonight I met Mr. Cloutier, the general manager of the Nissan dealership where I’m going to work, and I also met the financial manager.
I don’t want to make a long story. It’s been very positive, and I’ve been surprised to hear that they don’t want me to be the sales coordinator they wanted me to be. I’m heading right to an assistant financial manager job!
What does it mean? A lot of tasks, but an excellent salary!
They’ll call me back monday or tuesday.

I went to see Mr. Cloutier today again, and I had great news. I was supposed to get this job around January, remember? Well, I didn’t give up and kept going to see him and ask about the job once in a while, and every time he told me he haven’t had the time to do all the necessary work related to hiring. It was always the same answer, week after week.
Today, I got a different answer. He told me that his plans changed since the moving date has been advanced (they’re moving to another building). At first, they were supposed to move during next summer and he wanted to hire a sales coordinator for the spring rush, and then move in the new building and hire all the necessary staff he needed. But the moving date has been advanced to April 24th and he won’t hire any new stuff while he’s in the old building.
Concerning me, I’m the first on his list, he said. I thought it was great to hear, but there’s even better! He actually said that he really wanted me in his team, as a coordinator or seller. How flattering!
After hearing the good news, I went to leave but met another seller working there. Serge is his name. He called me by my first name, which I never thought he would know since we met something like once or twice in the past 2 years! So I started chatting with him, a little surprised, and he told me how great was my reputation as a young car seller and business man, and that I was well known across all the car dealers in the city! I was like… “Uh?!? Wow!!!!”
So, can you guess I had a huge smile hooked on my face today? :D

The interview went really well and I’m really confident about it. I feel I’m going to get this job.
But I won’t know until next week, or maybe the week after. But the sooner the better…

Hey all! I have my interview tomorrow morning! :)
It’s at 10 AM EST, if you ever want to send some positive waves in my direction… ;) I’ll have a little thought to you, just to stay positive and calm. :)
I’ll keep you informed when I come back, tomorrow.

It’s confirmed, I have an appointment with the general manager of the Nissan dealer in Chicoutimi on January 7th. I can’t wait!
I want this job so much, and the general manager Mr. Cloutier himself told me I had a lot of chances of getting this job. :)

I’ve got an opportunity for a coordinator job in a Nissan dealer, in Chicoutimi (20 km of my home, which is maybe a little less than what I hoped for, but I’ll take it anyway!).
Today, I’ve been told by this dealer’s director there were three candidates which he wanted to interview, and I’m one of them. My knowledge and past studies give me a big advantage, he said. It’s pleasant to hear.
I’ll probably know by the end of the week the day of my interview, and I can’t wait. I’m feeling a little nervous since I’d really like to have this job. He’s got to make his choice before the holidays.

I’ve finally, finally received a job offer, and should start on Monday.
Unless I get an offer from the job I’m interviewing for tomorrow and like it better. We shall see. Either way, it’s a win-win situation and I have me a job in a new city.
I’ll be making money again! Hurrah!

After applying for countless jobs that I wanted, kinda wanted, and didn’t really want… and not hearing back from any of them… I applied at two temp agencies this weekend.
One of the agencies called me at 8:30 this morning and scheduled an interview for tomorrow afternoon. Almost immediately after hanging up the phone, the second one called me and scheduled an interview for tomorrow morning.
So, it looks like I’ll start working again soon, and I have to say, I have mixed feelings about it. I’ve been kind of living a dream and the thought of a morning commute, data entry and filing, and mingling in the break room… it’s all too real-worldish for me.
About two blocks from my house, there’s a vintage store that’s hiring an associate manager. Although I haven’t been in the world of retail in well over five years… I feel it calling to me. I’m qualified and it sounds so much more interesting than a temporary office job downtown. And it’d be permanent, with benefits.
I’m probably not cool enough to get a job at a vintage store in Seattle, but I’m going to go apply for the hell of it, just to see what happens.
