skydive + haggis 2 years ago

i want to eat haggis and then an hour later go skydive. that is the perfect combination for some puking action! do they have places where haggis is served in victoria?
apparently haggis isn’t as bad as people think; my piano teacher was in scotland for a holiday and she got so sick of the salmon dishes that she ordered haggis..

    worth it…but only just…

since I'm now back in australia.... 3 years ago

I don’t think this is going to happen. I did have a bit of veggie haggis and I really liked that. I’m OK with not eating real haggis really…I think turning veg was a much harder thing for me to achieve than eating haggis

Vegetarian haggis that is... 3 years ago

(secretly relieved that I’m now trying to be a vegetarian)

Veggie, but I did have real haggis at least on one occasion when I was growing up.

in Nova Scotia on Robbie Burns Day 3 years ago

One of the most spectacularly accidental evenings of my life. “Robbie Burns” was there in costume and we each got scrolls containing translations of the Address to a Haggis (it was like a strange Scottish Christmas). So much fun, I wish I could attend every cultural event in the new country. (It tasted like liverwurst)

did this in… SCOTLAND! Didn’t taste bad at all.

Planned for Burns Day 3 years ago

There’s a restaurant in Chicago called Duke of Perth that serves haggis on Burns Day, January 25. I’ll be there for a late lunch.
