i need to drive!

I just turned 16 in august and i really want to get my liscense, i don’t even have my permit. I keep procrastinating and forgetting about it though. All i need to do is study and take a test.

How I did it: i failed the driving test three times, but i guess its the fourth time thats actually the charm - i finally did it. there's not much of a "how" to this one, aside from actually doing it, but thank god i can finally drive.
Lessons & tips: use your mirrors when backing up! haha.

Technically, I have already learned how to drive. I was 14 and took driver’s ed at school. I drove several times, and drove once on highway. I got my permit shortly after I turned 15 and was expecting to get my liscense when I turned 16 like everyone else in my school. However, there was no car for me to practice, and several practice sessions with my dad made driving a nightmare for me. It was horrible. I will never forget that he told me I have no talent for driving, and shouted that I get out of the car. I cried many times because I could not back the car into the narrow parking spot along the side of the road. I gave up. I didn’t have a car anyway. I am now 18 and I still don’t have my liscense. Every time when someone mentions driving it always saddens me. I was going to get my liscense last summer when my mom was here. She was a lot more encouraging and told me that I should get my liscense before going to college otherwise people would laugh at me. However, she wasn’t really confident to let me drive either, so I ended up not getting a lot of practice at all, and I didn’t go take the test. I really don’t care if I have a liscense because I am going to try not to get a car (in my life), but as I am looking for a summer job now I see that it’s a very big disadvantage. OK enough said… maybe I’ll try to get it this summer.

Here I am 25 years old with 3 kids and I still dont have my liscense. I have a car, my sis gave me. But I cant get a chance to practice. I started learning when I was 16, I would ride with my then BF and he would drive fast and reckless and I think he scared me out of driving. But now I want the freedom of going when I want to.

Even though I got my liscense, I’m not allowed to drive anywhere. Parents drive me crazy!!!

I’m 19 and I can’t drive. I actually am really afraid to start but I’m sick of depending on others to get stuff done. I can’t wait to get my license!
