“Carmen” and “Medée”. Great memories of queuing for cheap tickets at the crack of dawn that morning—and of queuing for the queue!
Chatted with an Australian who obviously indulged his passion for opera regularly on the cheap—and that night at Carmen ran into him at the interval, as he was heading out the door! He was leaving early as he found the production tedious and irritating. I, on the other hand, was having a great time.

Jake It's Hot in Australia!! >.<" lol
ive always seen photo’s and been seen it…but never been able to be close up to it…
last saturday was great!!! i went there with my dad…we went to Manly and Circular quay…
it was a GREAT day!!!
i told him i’d never been close to it..and he told me a story where on New years eve, he kissed my mum on the 14th step, before they were married…
as the future witheld; they’re separated now
but it was a great feeling, being able to go up there…and TOUCHING it…it might sound like a dud, and a giant waste of time, – you’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it twice, – theres no point going back ” but it was a great experience!

The Sydney Opera House is an amazing piece of architecture, especially when you take into account when it was built and designed!!
I went to a play there, which was amazing! But prior to that I took a tour… The tour was a little on the boring side for me, however the tour guide was extremely passionate which made for interesting touring.
If you go to Sydney. Go to the Opera house. If you don’t you’ll regret it!

If you’re a student you can line up at about 6:30 or 7:00 and buy any tickets that haven’t been purchased for that night’s performance for about $40 AUD. My friends and I got some of the best seats in the house this way.
