How I did it: i didn't do anything! that's what's so weird. i didn't even know he was interested in me. i was just myself all the time - friendly, always smiling, positive attitude, confident..and i guess that made him fall for me Lessons & tips: i always used to read about experiences where people were asked out when they least expected it. Resources: random relationship forums or browsing through articles and whatnot can really help you understand the opposite sex..it's that understanding that you incorporate into your life and test when you go out into the world |

The only “date” I ever went on was to Prom my sophomore year in high school. I call it a “date” because everyone else refers to it as one, but I do not. I went to a REALLY small high school so sophomores were invited to prom. I had a really big crush on this one guy and decided to ask him to the dance. Luckily for me, he was a nice guy and said yes. So we went together. I ended up hanging with my friends half the night while he talked with his pals and everyone else there. I spent the ride home talking with his dad (because neither of us had our drivers licenses and he had fallen asleep). That was my one date.
All my friends say that waiting is good. They all say that, but none of them have ever actually done it. They all go from boyfriend to boyfriend, and never have any “down time” in between.
The only thing I’m told is that I’m lucky because “the guy I finally find and go out with will be the best guy in the world. He’ll be perfect for me because I’ve waited so long for him.”
I hope that’s true.

I’m an old-fashioned romantic at heart. I’d love it if a boy came up to me and asked me out.
The only problem is, I’ve never even had the slightest hint from a boy that he likes me. I mean, ok, I’m not the best looking girl on the planet, but surely I’m nice enough to ask out on a date? :/

the feeling you get in your stomach…it’s like having a chair yanked out from underneath you…but i guess that’s because i knew i’d have to turn him down :(

I’d been wanting this for a while – we were friends, realized I liked him while I was on-off seeing someone, we officially broke up but HE then got a girlfriend, and when they broke up, it just clicked :) Well worth the wait. And the 1st time I’ve PROPERLY been asked out. Horrah!

My first boyfriend asked me out in the sweetest way ever.
We have this old landmark in our town called the Ovaltine Factory that was remodeled into condominums. But the smokestacks are still there as the town’s landmark and stuff like that and you’re not allowed to go up the old stairs to get a better view ‘cause it’s tresspassing but we did anyways.
It was a cold, clear November night and we went up six flights and from up there you could see the Sear’s Tower with its blinking lights and the stars were out and it was so perfect and romantic =) I’ll never ever forget it.
