Cook something bold and pungent day:
I’m just about to get to this one. :)

The next few for the month aren’t all laughs and giggles, but they were real, and these are what the website gives me:

    NOVEMBER
    • 9 – 10 Anniversary of Kristallnacht in Gemany (took place in 1939)
    • 10 – Area Code Day
Woot, time to celebrate those three numbers… Mine are actually kind of funny though. They involve seven eating a number.
    • 11 – Veterans Day
I really love seeing people standing outside the department stores with flags and passing them out. There’s nothing like a bit of unity.
Also, at 11:11 on this day, we will sure have a lot of 1s.
    • 12 – Chicken Soup for the Soul Day
“According to the creators of the book series of the same name, Chicken Soup for the Soul Day was created as ”.... a celebration of who you are, where you’ve been, where you’re going, and who you will be thankful to when you get there!””
    • 13 – Guiness World Record Day
    • 13 – Sadie Hawkins Day
I must say that I have never seen the “Lil Abner” Cartoon in print, but
“On this day, a race is held and all the single men were given a short head start. If a woman catches her man, he had to marry her.”
      That’s pretty funny. _
(Hence my picture that I found on Deviantart by sadwonderland)
    • 14 – Loosen up, lighten up day
    • 14 – National American Teddy Bear Day

    Pumpkin Chunkin Day
I suppose this might mean that I should have thrown it away. I’m not sure so I did the funner thing and slammed it on the ground and stomped on it… I almost felt bad because it had a carved picture of my favorite pet who passed away a few months ago. But I think it was okay because the pumpkin was rotting, and I’m sure Kiki would have liked for me to relieve some stress.

    November 7—International Tongue Twister Day
    (tomorrow)
I started early and found a few fun ones:

    Mr. See owned a saw.
And Mr. Soar owned a seesaw.
Now See’s saw sawed Soar’s seesaw
    Before Soar saw See,
    Which made Soar sore.
    Had Soar seen See’s saw
    Before See sawed Soar’s seesaw,
See’s saw would not have sawed
    Soar’s seesaw.
So See’s saw sawed Soar’s seesaw.
But it was sad to see Soar so sore
    Just because See’s saw sawed
    Soar’s seesaw!

A skunk sat on a stump. The stump thought the skunk stunk. the skunk thought the stump stunk . What stunk the skunk or the stump?

A Tudor who tooted a flute
tried to tutor two tooters to toot.
Said the two to their tutor,
    “Is it harder to toot
or to tutor two tooters to toot?”

    A tree toad loved a she-toad
Who lived up in a tree.
He was a two-toed tree toad
But a three-toed toad was she.
The two-toed tree toad tried to win
    The three-toed she-toad’s heart,
For the two-toed tree toad loved the ground
That the three-toed tree toad trod.
But the two-toed tree toad tried in vain.
    He couldn’t please her whim.
    From her tree toad bower
    With her three-toed power
    The she-toad vetoed him.

    You’ve no need to light a night-light
On a light night like tonight,
    For a night-light’s light’s a slight light,
    And tonight’s a night that’s light.
    When a night’s light, like tonight’s light,
It is really not quite right
To light night-lights with their slight lights
On a light night like tonight
(Hence the reason for the LumiLove night light picture)

    I thought a thought.
But the thought I thought wasn’t the thought
    I thought I thought.

El Dia de los Muertos- I'd love to do this. 4 weeks ago

I wouldn’t call this obscure, but I wanted to leave myself a little reminder that November 2nd is El Dia de los Muertos. I had so much fun with this last year, but I missed the actual day and pretended like it was the Day of the Dead anyway.
It would be really nice, though, to create an alter for my dad, and it might help me get over some of my fears.

A little reminder 1 month ago

I’ve been writing them down in my notebook, but I usually forget about them. Maybe having this as a goal will be a little reminder to me. I really love celebrating them. I remember that one day in June or July was “Take your houseplant for a walk day.” What’s more fun than that? :D
Well, here’s the page that I usually use because it has tons of holidays on it:

    http://www.brownielocks.com/month2.html

And here are some of the upcoming holdidays that I’d really like to celebrate:

    --October--
27- Cranky Coworkers Day (Fortunately I don’t work today)
    28- National Chocolates Day
29- Internet day (That’s what happens everyday when you have to take online classes…)
30- Haunted refrigerator night/ Frankenstein Friday
    31- National Magic Day

    --November--
    2- Cookie monster day
4- National common sense day (This should be every day)
    5- National men make dinner day (Ditto… =) )
    ...
15- I love to write day (Because I do)
