to clean up the house enough so that the cleaners can access all of the vents easily. I suppose this is good, because it supports my general cleanliness goal. sooner or later, we will get this place declutterized.

this sounds like a silly goal, reading it here, but the city inspector told us our ducts are the worst he had ever seen!! too much dog hair, I suppose. so, on Monday, men with giant vacuum cleaners will descend on our house and suck all of the giant dust bunnies out of our heating system. this has to be a good thing.

we vacuumed a giant dust bunny about the size of a malamute out of our furnace filter the other day. quite astonishing, really, but not good. will call someone about this on Tuesday.
