I am a fragrance junkie! It all started almost a year ago (in November, actually) with a single roll-on fragrance. It was a combination of rosemary, lavender, and ylang-ylang…dubbed exam aromatherapy, just in time for finals. Since the business just opened, it was offered at a special price.
That was the first of a list of fragrances. The next one was quite floral, great for seduction (which I’m almost out of…must get another one). The following one was much more bracing and colonge-like, but with a slight feminine touch.
Then, I wanted to get a body wash. I had been waiting for WEEKS for a banana fragrance to combine with dark chocolate. While in limbo, I go to the store and, while sniffing various scents, the idea came up to combine the chocolate with coconut….then to include almond (just like a certain yummy candy bar). We also came up with a dreamsicle-like fragrance…so good!
Just the other day, I got an email stating that the banana fragrance is in! I think I’ll make a whole body wash/body scrub/body butter dessert line! Whew!

Victoria Secrets’ “Endless Love” Body Spray, and/or VS “Love Spell” Body Spray. Been my signature for years now. The “Love Spell” shampoo is great as well.

In high school and college it was Adolfo, then Beautiful, and now it’s Tiffany (as in Breakfast at). They’re all very similar.

I want to find a signature fragrance at some point, but it’ll have to wait until after I update my wardrobe.

I hate most perfumes. This is just an ongoing quest for me. I do like Bvlgari Green Tea (the vert), and have been wearing it for six months, but still don’t think it is The One.

I walked into the perfume department of a Myer store and was preyed upon by a young sales guy wearing a black shirt and a pink tie. He asked me a couple of questions about my personality and this was the first perfume he recommended. I was very, very impressed. I’m already out of my 50ml bottle and boy do I need more or I won’t go on living.

I think I found what I was looking for, White Linen by Estee Lauder. It got mixed reviews on the website, but that’s to be expected. It’s a personal thing. Anyway, I ordered the smallest size to be sure it’s the one I want.

I’ve spent a lot of money on perfume that has a pretty name, or a famous reputation, but does nothing for me. I get confused in the department stores, after trying samples on my wrist and forgetting which one was which. Once I found the perfect scent, but ran out of it and now don’t remember what it was called. Something about linen or shoulders. Who knows? But I would really like my grandchildren to smell that smell and remember their grandmother. Just as I think of mine when I smell Noxema or Ponds cold creme.
